Only 100 of this prized local history was published. Our local paper in Bo'ness last week was trying to see how many copies were still in existence. They reckoned 33, but I have one, handed down through my family. Do you actually have a copy in your archives as well?
I find the info in the appendices so very interesting.

Mr Salmon was a lawyer in the town and thus well suited to researching its history. Despite a rather dry legal tone the book is very detailed and gives derivations of local names as well as details of notable inhabitants.
Copies are much prized and saught after locally so that an online, searchable copy is of considerable interest to Bo'nessians. Shorter, more up to date histories are available but nothing of this depth or scope.
